How will I receive my tickets?

What health & safety protocols will be in place?

Audience members will NOT need to present proof of vaccination or a negative test for entry. Additionally, masks are recommended but not required for this performance.

These current policies are subject to change at any time.

Ticket Holders will be contacted closer to their performance dates via email and phone call to confirm the health policies of their performance.

I found tickets online for over $400?

Only tickets purchased directly from: DMPA.org, the Civic Center Ticket Office or by calling the Civic Center Ticket Office at (515) 246-2300 are guaranteed to be legitimate tickets.

Is there a lottery or rush for HAMILTON?

There is a lottery for forty (40) $10 seats for all performances. Lottery details will be available closer to the engagement.

HOW TO ENTER

  • The lottery will open at 10:00 AM every Friday and will close for entry at 12:00 PM the next Thursday prior to the following week’s performances.
  • Winner notifications will be sent between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM every Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances via email and mobile push notification. Once notified, winners will have two hours to claim and pay for their ticket(s).
  • No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or participate.
  • Each winning entrant may purchase up to two (2) tickets.
  • Only one entry per person, per performance. Repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded.
  • Lottery tickets may be picked up at will call beginning two hours prior to the performance with a valid photo ID. Lottery tickets void if resold.

ADDITIONAL RULES

Patrons must be 18 years or older and have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name used to enter. Tickets are non-transferable. Ticket limits and prices displayed are at the sole discretion of the show and are subject to change without notice.

Since HAMILTON contains some strong language, the show is recommended for ages 10+. Infants are not allowed in the theater. Children 4 years of age and above are permitted but must have their own ticket.

Lottery prices are not valid on prior purchases. Lottery ticket offer cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. All sales final – no refunds or exchanges. Lottery may be revoked or modified at any time without notice. A purchase will not improve the chances of winning.

Are there group sales available?

We are taking unseated reservations for HAMILTON tickets now. Processing, seat fulfillment and specific order details will occur at a later date. Click here to submit a request. 

Where can I purchase tickets?

When tickets go on sale to the public they may be purchased online at DMPA.org, by calling 515-246-2300 or at the Civic Center Ticket Office located at the corner of 3rd and Walnut Street. The fastest way to purchase tickets is online at DMPA.org.

Is there an age requirement?

HAMILTON is appropriate for ages 10+ since there is some strong language. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted in the theatre.

What is the running time for HAMILTON?

Running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes including intermission.

Is the Broadway cast performing in the tour?

The Des Moines engagement of Hamilton will feature an all new cast. Casting will be announced later but it will be produced, with the same talent, attention to detail and high quality as the Broadway and Chicago productions.

What if I can't attend my purchased performance?

Since all sales are final, we are unable to offer refunds. Be sure to check the following information before completing your purchase: show title, day, date, time of performance, and number of tickets.

Are there any discounts available?

There are no discounts for any tickets for HAMILTON.

Are there Audio Description and ASL performances?

Yes, the 1:00 p.m. performance on Sunday, May 22.

Are there Meet and Greet options with the cast?

No Meet and Greets have been announced.

Is there a ticket limit for Hamilton?
