Young Vita thinks her family has gone loco planning a celebration for deceased loved ones. Why throw a party for the dead? But when a candy skeleton on her abuelita’s cemetery ofrenda suddenly springs to life, Vita finds herself on a magical, musical journey to unravel the true meaning of Día de los Muertos. But can this clever girl help him get on the train before it’s too late?
SUGAR SKULLl! is a joyous, heartfelt adventure that delves into the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos that deepens students understanding of Mexican and Latin American culture. Featuring a company of gifted musicians and dancers, this colorful stage production is a perfect way to celebrate family and tradition this fall!
Mexico Beyond Mariachi works to share traditional Mexican performance and culture, moving beyond the stereotypes with their message of equity, tolerance and unity.
