Outstanding Musical Production

This cumulative award honors high achievements across all performance, technical and creative areas. It is considered the program’s top honor.

Outstanding Community Engagement

Theater inherently has the power to move, enlighten and to promote change. The Community Engagement Award is presented to schools that utilize their production and its themes in a meaningful way to make a difference within their communities. TECHNICAL THEATER SCHOLARSHIP

Sponsored by Doug & Debbie West

The Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards Technical Theater Scholarship is open to students advancing their theater training as a technical theater major or minor. Annually, one student will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship to be applied towards tuition at an accredited college/university. The scholarship is to be distributed $2,500 per year, renewable for up to four years pending qualifying academic status. Learn about this year's recipient by clicking on the icon below.
