Three DMPA Invested Shows Receive Tony Award Nominations


& Juliet, Life of Pi and Some Like It Hot Recognized with Nominations

 

DES MOINES, IA ― The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing announced the 2023 Tony Award Nominations on Tuesday, May 2 at 8 AM CST live from New York.  Des Moines Performing Arts (DMPA) has invested in three nominated shows as part of the Independent Presenters Network (IPN), a consortium of 40 leading Broadway presenters, theaters and performing arts centers.  Nominated shows DMPA has invested in include: & Juliet, Life of Pi and Some Like It Hot.

DMPA’s invested shows received a combined 27 nominations. Some Like It Hot is the most nominated show of the 2023 Broadway season with 13 nominations. Both & Juliet and Some Like It Hot are nominated for Best Musical.  The 76th annual Tony Awards will air live Sunday, June 11 at 5:30 PM CST on Pluto TV and then at 7 PM CST on CBS and Paramount+
