FOLLOWED BY A SHOWING OF DISNEY'S THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG AT DUSK 

Come for some fun and to celebrate the diversity of our country with authentic multicultural roots music for the entire family from two time GRAMMY award winning Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience.

For 38 years, two- time GRAMMY award winning artist Terrance Simien and 8th generation Louisiana Creole has been shattering the myths about what his indigenous Zydeco roots music is – and is not.

Leading his Zydeco Experience bandmates – long time members Danny Williams, keyboards and Stan Chambers, bass, horn players, Lance Ellis, sax and Curtis Watson, trumpet, and newest member (2019), drummer Ian Molinaro – Thompson – Simien has become one of the most respected and accomplished artists in American roots music today. He and his band mates have performed over 9000 concerts, toured millions of miles to over 45 countries during their eventful career

Where is the Jamie Hurd Amphitheater?
The Jamie Hurd Amphitheater is located at 4100 Mills Civic Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50265.

Where is the Prairie Meadows Riviera Amphitheater at Riverview Park?
Riverview Park is located at 710 Corning Ave, Des Moines, IA 5031. 

Do I need a ticket for this event?
This event is free and open to all! An actual ticket is not needed. There is no reserved seating for this event. These venues are both open-air amphitheaters with no seats. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. 

When can I arrive?
Guests can arrive beginning at 6 p.m. The concert will begin promptly at 7 p.m. The Film will begin at Dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.)

Can I bring food, beverages? 
Yes! Picnics are encouraged. All beverages must be in non-glass containers. The Saturday performance will have food and beverage vendors on site beginning at 6 p.m.

Can I bring adult beverages?
Wine and beer are allowed as long as it is in non-glass containers. 

How long is the show?
Approximately 2 Hours and 45 minutes.
The run time for the concert is  approximately 1 hour and the run time of the movie is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes. The showing of the film THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG will be shown at dusk, following the concert.
