FREE FAMILY-FRIENDLY CONCERT
Sonic Butterfly is a 26-string acoustic, chromatic, long-string harp designed by Andrea Brook. The strings are as long as 200 feet long and at minimum 60 feet long. They will be strung from Cowles Commons and attach to the Des Moines Civic Center spanning out over the audience, transforming the area into a stunning immersive musical instrument.
The 2 resonating chambers have butterfly-shaped projection screens or LED wings creating a visual, musical experience.
