Arts Integration 201: Social/Emotional Learning and the Arts

September 25 - October 29, 2019

In this six-session course, teachers will explore two distinct arts-based strategies that address social/emotional learning. No previous arts training or experience necessary!

ACTING RIGHT
building a cooperative, collaborative, creative classroom culture through drama

Acting Right is the lead work on using drama to teach behavior. This step-by-step approach integrates engaging aspects of drama with effective elements of classroom management to empower students to take ownership and be responsible for their own behavior. Used in classrooms across the country, these strategies help create the behavior literacy necessary for students to concentrate, cooperate, collaborate and establish a sense of calm, focus, and balnce in the classroom.
