Gibney Company members are full-time Artistic Associates who contribute not only as impeccable performing artists but also as activists and cultural entrepreneurs.

With an unrelenting focus on artistic excellence and social integrity, Gibney Company co-creates an environment where dancers are activated towards their full artistic, entrepreneurial, and socially-minded selves through rigorous physical, intellectual, and interpersonal practices. In addition to creation and performance, the Artistic Associates are highly engaged in the organization’s Community programs and are cultivated as entrepreneurs and leaders in the field.

Gibney Company Contemporary Dance Classes invite participants to move their bodies and move ideas. Classes embody a wide range of movement aesthetics relative to each Artistic Associates’ history and experience in the field.  Physical rigor, complex coordination, and delicate nuance are prioritized in equal measure.  Gibney Company classes share an underlying value system that prioritizes cultivating an available body and curious spirit while celebrating the collective wisdom of the group. We’ll focus on 'flexing the muscles' of choice-making and embracing the unknown; concepts we’re practicing every day in the dance studio that have the potential to move into all aspects of our lives.
