WHAT DO YOU DO WITH AN IDEA

April 18 - 19, 2024 Des Moines Civic Center

Event Details

Grades K-5

Based on the New York Times bestselling book by Kobi Yamada, this is the story of one brilliant idea and the child who helps to bring it into the world.  At first, the child is nervous - what if no one likes the idea or they think the idea is terrible? But as the child’s confidence grows, so does the idea itself. And then, one day, something amazing happens!

Told through movement, music, and narration, an ensemble of dancers creates a magical world where ideas grow and take flight. It is a story for anyone, at any age, who’s ever had an idea that seemed a little too big, too odd, or too difficult.
