COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM

Request Tickets

Des Moines Performing Arts partners with local community-based social service organizations to provide complimentary tickets to those who may not have regular opportunities to experience high quality performing arts. The community ticket program is currently in a pilot phase for the 2019-20 season.

Organizations can submit an application to become an official partner in the Community Ticket program. Available ticket inventory is distributed based on partner requests. Learn more about partner eligibility and participation.

Current partners include:

  • ArtForce Iowa
  • ChildServe
  • Community Youth Concepts
  • YESS (Youth Emergency Services & Shelter)

“Often there are arts and cultural events with high ticket prices. $30 a ticket is unaffordable if we are taking a group of young people. A community ticket program offers ArtForce Iowa opportunities for choice, time for planning, and freedom to build relevant arts inquiry and reflection around a performance.”

- Yvette Zaród Hermann, ArtForce Iowa

“This is something that many of (the kids) are experiencing for the very first time, and if we can foster a love of performing arts in them, that is a wonderful thing.”

- Jana Daisy, Youth Emergency Services and Shelter
