TINY TALES
A story is more than just a story
Please note: Class in progress.
In this class for preschoolers and kindergarteners (ages 3-5), stories come alive!
Each week, we will meet online in a small group with friends, along with a parent or older sibling, to experience a new story together; we will then take it off the page and into our living rooms using drama and other active fun! Be a monster, a tree, or a hero saving the town depending on the day. We will also reserve time each week to act out a story together told by you! A special letter will be delivered to your house before class with a few easy story add-ons you can do together.
Please register at least 6 business days before the start of your session so that camp materials may be mailed to you in time for the first meeting. If you are registering inside that window, please contact Sara Perez using the information at the bottom of this page.
HOW THE CLASS WILL BE STRUCTURED ONLINE
This class is intended for pre-school age children and their grown-up to participate in together. Grown-ups can be a parent, caretaker or sibling age 12 or older.
Note: As we pilot this new class offering, we anticipate that featured books will be pre-recorded. That way, you and your child can watch the video of our featured story in advance of our weekly meeting at a time convenient for you. This will also allow us to jump right into the action when we meet online together.
Tuesday Section
Tuesdays, 11-11:30 AM: June 9, 16, 23 and 30
Thursday Section
Thursdays, 11-11:30 AM: June 11, 18, 25, July 2
*Additional sections may be added as demand warrants.
We will be using Zoom. To successfully participate, you will need a laptop, tablet, smart phone or computer with a webcam (internal or external) and reliable internet connection. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about your ability to participate due to a lack of access to technology.
We also ask that Tiny Tales participants have easy access to crayons or colored pencils, as well as age-appropriate scissors. All other materials will be mailed to you as part of your class letter.
This class carries a registration fee of $40.
Please check out details on our SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM if financial assistance is needed to allow you to participate.
Scholarship applications should be submitted BEFORE registering.
