MUSICAL THEATER DANCE INTENSIVE - CANCELLED

June 23 - 26, 2020

Featuring Wicked

This camp has been cancelled.

In the face of the everchanging circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus, Des Moines Performing Arts has cancelled in-person summer camps for summer 2020.

Families registered for in-person camps should watch their email for a message regarding how to transfer their account credit to a new virtual camp/class experience or how to request a refund.

Company members from WICKED will lead teens in a four-day musical theater dance intensive that will be held June 23–26, 2020. Through two daily master classes, participants will sharpen their dance technique within a range of musical theater styles, increase their characterization skills as movers, and gain knowledge of the industry from working professionals.

Included in tuition is a ticket to the Tuesday, June 23, evening performance of WICKED!  Students are encouraged to attend the performance to prepare for dance references made throughout the week.

The intensive is open to intermediate to advanced-level dancers in grades 9 through first year of college, based on enrollment in fall of 2020.
