IMPROV ONLINE!

June 29 - July 3, 2020

DO YOU LOVE IMPROVISATION?

Students will explore their passion for improvisation in an online format. Students will work in small groups to tap into their creativity through a wide variety of improvisation games and activities, each building on the next to develop collaboration, problem-solving, and quick-thinking skills. The week will end with an online showcase of improv scenes and techniques that family and friends can be invited to watch.

HOW THE CAMP WILL BE STRUCTURED ONLINE

Activities will be geared toward both the beginning and the more experienced improvisor. The number one requirement is a willingness to jump in and try!

Students will learn to use Zoom so that small groups of performers can interact and perform improv scenes.  A culminating showcase of scenes will be performed on the final day.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Due to the short timeframe of the camp, participation in the culminating showcase is dependent on full attendance throughout the week. Missed rehearsals may necessitate that a participant's role be modified or reduced for the success of the overall showcase.

REFUND POLICY

Cancellation:
In the event that you are no longer able to participate, please submit notice of your cancellation to education@desmoinesperformingarts.org

Written notice of cancellation must be received two weeks prior to the first date of your camp or class in order for a refund to be issued. Refunded tuition will be minus a 6% processing fee to cover expenses associated with your original booking.

If a cancellation is submitted less than two weeks prior to the camp or class start date, a refund will only be issued if we are able to move a waitlisted student into the vacated spot.
