Capital City Pride Speaker Series: Rutger Goethart

In his role as a Senior Advisor, Rutger focuses on corporate human rights due diligence, supporting companies to assess, prioritize, address and report (potential) human rights impacts. He guides companies in a practical way in the application of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, such as obtaining internal buy-in, the development of strategy and policies, risk assessment, external stakeholder engagement and feedback, relevant action-planning and external communication and reporting. Currently Rutger is supporting Shift– the leading center of expertise on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (https://shiftproject.org). For Shift, he works directly with various companies and organizations in assessing human rights risks and implementing ways to respect human rights.
