KENNEDY CENTER THEATER FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES ON TOUR (UNITED STATES)
GRADES 1-4
Get ready to go on a big adventure thanks to the even BIGGER dreams of a little girl!
Before she was a renowned humanitarian, conservationist, and animal activist, Dr. Jane Goodall was a little girl with a very special toy chimpanzee named Jubilee. Together, Jane and Jubilee go on outdoor adventures, observe all the miracles of nature around them, and even dream of going all the way across the world to Africa to learn even more about animals. There is just one problem. Most people around her think her idea is impossible! But Jane keeps trying to make her dreams come true — and learns something amazing along the way from a very special friend!
In this brand new musical adaptation of the Caldecott award-winning book, join young Jane on her journey to discover the importance of protecting all living species. With anecdotes taken directly from Jane Goodall’s autobiography, this adaptation makes this true story accessible for the very young—and young at heart.
