A TRIBUTE TO GENE PITNEY
Iowa singer and historian, Tim Tracy, presents “A Tribute To Gene Pitney – One Great Voice”, in story and song, at The Stoner Theater at Des Moines Performing Arts in downtown Des Moines, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 7 p.m. Gene Pitney charted 16 top 40 hits during the 1960’s and was also a song writer and music engineering pioneer. His hits included “A Town Without Pity”, “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance”, “It Hurts To Be In Love”, and “Only Love Can Break A Heart” among many others. Pitney’s powerful, tenor voice is rarely replicated.
