SCHOOL MATINEE PERFORMANCE

Iowa Dance Theatre's The Nutcracker Ballet has been a holiday tradition in Des Moines since 1966 when Mary Joyce Lind staged it to Tchaikovsky's classic ballet score. Join over 200 local dancers, and choreographers representing over 20 local dance studios in a unique community collaboration bringing the story of Clara's Christmas dream to you in stunning dance.

The cast will present a shortened version of the holiday ballet in a special performance for school audiences, which will include narration of the story, and should last just under one hour.
